Ceri McEwan

Discover Dogs Coordinator

I got my first PBGV, which was also my first dog, in 2008 and have been exhibiting since 2009 having 'caught the bug'.  To date, my only litter (Marunnel affix) was bred in 2017 and 2 of the litter obtained their stud book numbers before 12 months of age. I have won numerous CCs and BOBs with the 6 PBGVs I have owned and shown, including DCC at Crufts 2013 being beaten to BOB by the wonderful Jilly.  I have also shown at the National d'Elevage on several occasions, with my dogs achieving 'excellent' grades.

I am a Pharmacist working within Community Health Services in East Sussex and am a qualified Independent Prescriber. I am also Secretary of South Eastern Hound Club and Trade Stand Coordinator for Crystal Palace Canine Association .

Having returned to the BGV Club Committee in 2021 (I previously served for approximately 5 years) I have again taken on responsibility for organising the Breed Booths at Discover Dogs exhibitions.

I have participated/assisted in numerous breed seminars, passed both BGV written & hands on assessments and I am currently on the B list for both breeds having judged both at open/championship level. I am also on the B lists for various other hound breeds including Basset Fauve de Bretagne, Basset hound and Greyhound
